On 15 November there was a Bewicks Swan on the flooded Morfa-bach (Coed bach marshes) more of this species were at Dryslwyn with 9 White-fronted Geese and other wildfowl on 25 November. Other interesting mid-November, birds were a Firecrest that entered Tumble Primacy School and a very late Hoopoe at Pont Henri!

By late November some figures regarding the 1984 season were being published. In the ornithological literature. Sea Eagles laid two clutches in the Western Isles but they failed to hatch, but all this suggests eventual successful re-colonization. Other scarce nesting birds in 1984 include a pair of Parrot Crossbills in Norfolk and Little Bitterns in Yorkshire. With the commoner birds, numbers of Yellow Wagtails, Whitethroats, Swallows, Sand Martins and Sedge Warblers were well down, but Garden Warblers, Lesser Whitethroats, Pied Flycatchers and Redstarts did well.
