Several of us have been to see the surviving young Crane at Pembrey saltmarsh. In spite of its great size, the Crane is surprisingly difficult to spot as it feeds amongst the saltmarsh vegetation. It is best seen by following the old perimeter fence of the R.O.F. Factory (at the West end of Ashburnham Golf Club) do not follow the road down to the Country Park but bear left, follow the car track and stop before the sewage works.
