This year saw over 500 occupied territories in Wales with 568 known territorial pairs, 80 of which were in Carmarthenshire. It is now estimated that there are c 750‐900 pairs in Wales. The range has expanded in Pembrokeshire as well as in south Carmarthenshire, though it specifically noted that our county is not as well covered as elsewhere, in spite of the great efforts of some voluntary recorders. In other words, help is needed to monitor Carmarthenshire's expanding kite population.
